it's not a rumor.. jefferson parish president Aaron Broussard has gone on national media and said that he is succeding jefferson parish from the nation because maybe THEN they will get help fast enough.. if he were a foreign state.

I heard him on WWL saying that he was going to run his "little parish like a dictator" because the Federal Government did not give him the help that he requested back on Sunday.
